Catherine Schroeder is counsel at Derains & Gharavi and has more than 10 years of experience in international commercial arbitration. She has both acted in international arbitration proceedings and legal proceedings before French state courts. Her arbitration practice mainly focuses on the petrochemical, construction, energy and distribution industries. She has handled disputes arising out of joint venture agreements, distribution, agency agreements and intellectual property contracts.
She also acts as arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
She has more particularly experience in arbitration under the auspices of, inter alia, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce Centre (ICC), the Association Française d’Arbitrage (AFA), the Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP), the Arbitral Chamber of Milan (CAM), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), as well as in ad hoc proceedings, including UNCITRAL.
Catherine holds a DESS in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolutions from the University Paris II as well as a DEA in International Private Law from the University Paris II.
