Julie Spinelli is an associate at Derains & Gharavi specialized in international arbitration. She has acted as counsel in numerous arbitration proceedings conducted under the arbitration rules of the ICC, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL. She has also acted in numerous legal proceedings before French courts, including for the recognition and enforcement / annulment of arbitral awards.
Julie’s experience covers a wide range of industries. She has been particularly active in the sectors of energy (oil and gas), mining, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agri-food and hospitality. She has dealt with disputes relating to energy and mining exploration and production contracts; price disputes in long-term gas supply contracts; investment protection; mergers and acquisitions; shareholders’ liability; governance; joint-ventures; licensing agreements and other long-term commercial contracts.
Julie holds an LLM in International Arbitration and Litigation from University College London, a Master II and a DJCE in International Business Law from the University Paul Cezanne, Aix Marseille III. Julie is the author of numerous articles and a frequent lecturer in the fields of international arbitration and international dispute resolution.
