Lara Elborno is an associate at Derains & Gharavi specialised in international arbitration. She has participated in arbitral proceedings under the rules of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), as well as ad-hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Rules. She has served as administrative secretary to the Arbitral Tribunal and taken part in arbitration-related proceedings before the French courts and the U.S. Federal District Courts. She has also advised clients on compliance with U.S. and E.U. sanctions regimes.

Lara obtained a D.U. Droit de l’arbitrage interne et international from the University of Montpellier, a LL.M. in European Law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas and a J.D. with a Certificate in International Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is admitted to the Paris and Illinois Bars.
