Nicolò is an associate at Derains & Gharavi, specialised in international arbitration. He has acted in international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings under the arbitration rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) as well as UNCITRAL. His practice focuses on various sectors including construction, energy, heavy industries, pharma, and defense. He has also acted as counsel in litigation proceedings before Italian courts.
Before joining Derains & Gharavi, Nicolò worked as Deputy Counsel at the International Chamber of Commerce where he was in charge of administering a large number of international commercial arbitrations (approx. 100 cases), gaining extensive procedural experience and a deep understanding of the functioning of arbitral institutions. In addition to this institutional experience, Nicolò also interned at ICSID in Washington DC, while he was studying for his LLM degree.
Nicolò is a member of the Italian Bar.
